How does the Hand Ruler & Tape Measure Tool app work?
After installing the app, you will be prompted to point the scope at the object to be measured using your sight and hand gestures.
Available measurement tools are:
Line. Using this tool, you can measure the distance from point A to point B.
Height. Users can measure the height of objects by selecting the bottom and top points.
Angle. The angle measurement function allows users to determine the exact angles between two surfaces or lines.
Rectangle. To define a rectangle on a surface, you just need to select 3 corners and pull. The smart functionality of the app will build the shape in front of you by itself.
Circle. This tool enables you to measure the circumference and area of a circle by selecting its center point and dragging to define its radius.
Poly. The poly tool allows users to measure the perimeter and area of a polygon by selecting multiple points to create the shape.
Poly Smooth. Similar to the poly tool, this tool helps measure the perimeter and area of a smoothed polygon with curved edges.
Poly Line. This tool allows for the measurement of distance along a series of connected lines or segments by selecting multiple points in sequence.
Poly Line Smooth. Like the poly line tool, but with smooth, curved connections between the points, for measuring distances along smoother paths.
Distance. This simple but effective tool allows you to measure the straight-line distance between the highlighted dot and you.
How to find the right tool?
To make it easy to find tools and measurement values in the app, the menu is linked to your left hand. Scroll left/right to select the desired tool. The following international units are available for measurements: cm, m, mm, inches, feet, yard.
