Whether it's direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC) – the app intelligently calculates the required minimum cable cross-section based on voltage, current, and cable length. It takes practical standard values and permissible losses into account to provide you with a realistic and safe recommendation.
The app allows you to choose between DC and AC. Simply enter the desired voltage in volts, the current in amperes, and the cable length in meters. With a tap on the calculate button, you instantly get the required minimum cross-section in square millimeters. If any inputs are missing or invalid, this will be clearly and understandably displayed. The operation is intentionally kept simple so that both beginners and professionals can easily navigate it.
LeckerStecker is ideal for electricians, installers, solar technicians, motorhome and van converters, homeowners with their own PV system, electronics hobbyists, and anyone interested in DIY technology. With fast calculations, a well-thought-out user interface, and clear presentation, the app is a valuable helper in everyday life.
A special advantage: LeckerStecker works completely offline. No personal data is stored or transmitted. The app consciously avoids ads and focuses solely on its core function – a clean and safe cable calculation.
In future versions, additional features are planned, including the option to choose between copper and aluminum cables, voltage drop calculations, a database of common cable types, recommendations for circuit protection, and a multilingual interface for various countries and standards.
