Description
Via deze app regel je o.a. je inschrijving voor evenementen en kun je met korting studieboeken of samenvattingen bestellen. Verder ben je altijd op de hoogte van de ontwikkelingen rondom de bar en andere activiteiten van de vereniging! Vandaag de dag is de MFAS een van de grootste en actiefste studieverenigingen van Amsterdam, met 2500 leden en 200 actieve leden. De MFAS heeft een eigen boekenwinkel, een eigen bar (de Epsteinbar), een eigen verenigingsblad en meer dan 20 commissies. In de eerste plaats houdt de MFAS zich bezig met het verlenen van diensten aan haar leden, bijvoorbeeld door het aanbieden van studieboeken en medische instrumenten tegen een zeer gereduceerd tarief in onze MFAS-boekenservice.
Ten tweede zet de MFAS zich in voor het behoud en/of de verbetering van de kwaliteit van het onderwijs en organiseert de MFAS ook aanvullingen op het curriculum, zoals cursussen, debatten en jaarlijks een groot congres. Voor de ouders van de eerstejaars studenten organiseert de MFAS een informatieve ouderdag, zodat ook zij kennis kunnen maken met de studie van hun kinderen.
Last, but certainly not least, zorgt de MFAS voor gezelligheid en ontspanning voor haar leden. We organiseren leuke, grote feesten in de gezellige binnenstad, elk jaar een prachtig gala op een toplocatie in Amsterdam, een buitenlandse reis (in het verleden waren o.a. Istanbul, Lissabon en Boedapest onze bestemming), een zeilweekend, een eerstejaarsweekend en nog veel, veel meer. De MFAS is dus letterlijk vóór en dóór studenten: zonder deze studenten zou er geen MFAS zijn.
De MFAS hoopt dat ze door middel van haar activiteiten, zowel op het gebied van onderwijs en dienstverlening als op het gebied van ontspanning, een nuttige, maar zeker ook een plezierige bijdrage levert aan de studietijd van de Geneeskunde- en MIK-studenten.
