V1 Companion™ is a feature rich app, designed to give you the most out of your V1 radar detector, while enhancing your driving experience along the way. Featuring intelligent alerts and advanced muting, it takes situational awareness to another level! V1 Companion™ is the COMPLETE solution to enjoying your V1.
V1 Companion™'s alerting and muting systems are optimized for each V1 platform. Intelligent voice announcements and on-screen visuals will always keep you informed and aware of the situation around you.
V1 Companion™ full feature list:
• SpotLocks™ - Location based false silencing has never been this good or easy. Turn on the intelligent location based learning, and let V1 Companion™ do the rest. Or, you can manually 'lock' or 'unlock' locations with ease from the main alert screen.
• View and modify your V1's internal hardware settings. You no longer have to exit the app, and run the V1 connection app, to modify your V1's internal settings.
• The ONLY iOS app with "Dynamic Volume Control" for V1 Gen2, completely silences unwanted alerts (No more annoying initial audio blip accompanying false alerts).
• Play detector tones through app.
• 'GPS Warmup' keeps the detector quiet for a 'user set' number of seconds or until a GPS connection is established with your iPhone. Useful for parking garages etc.
• V1 Firmware version check & notification of new firmware.

V3.23 - New App Features:
• MyRadarIQ™ - Threat assessment intelligent system for the radar companion series of apps. A new meter, visible at the top of the main alert screen, will show a graphical representation of the probability of a police presence (Ka or Laser) in the direction of your travel. Using your personal alert data, whenever a high probability exists for an encounter ahead, you will know about it well in advance of facing the actual threat. The meter will go from yellow (low threat), to orange (medium threat), to red (high threat) and flash on and off and a voice announcement will occur. The meter will also flash red when a Ka or Laser alert is actively being received to help draw attention to the alert. Probabilities are calculated down to the actual day of the week you are traveling, increasing the accuracy on any given day.
• Alert display for, and identification of, Photo Radar.
• Latest historical BSM/CAS data for better protection against K falsing.
• Compiled with latest XCode 26.
• New iOS 26 Liquid Glass UI elements.
• New light, dark, & tinted icons.
4.1037 Firmware Features supported in the app's detector settings:
• New 'K Sensitivity' setting. Select from Full, Original, or Relaxed sensitivity.
• New 'X Sensitivity' setting. Select from Full, Original, or Relaxed sensitivity.
• New Photo Radar settings. Select which photo radar you want the V1 to detect.
• Original detector volume saved and restored upon power cycle.
V3.0 introduced one of the most intelligent 'location based lockout systems' for any iOS app called SpotLocks™ featuring:
• Automatic, intelligent, location based learning / unlearning of potential false alerts (you have the ability to turn this feature on or off).
• Discrete signal locking™ - helps prevent locking out real police radar in close frequency range to the SpotLock™ frequency.
• Frequency drift compensation™ - helps compensate for changes of the location's frequency drifting up and down over time at the saved location.
• BSM guard™ - helps to keep non-stationary vehicle BSM/CAS signals from polluting the SpotLock™ stationary location database.
• Continuous location tuning - Whether a SpotLock™ is actively locked or learning, the SpotLock™ system will continue to learn and tune itself over time to better handle future encounters.
• Manual creation/deletion of SpotLocks™ - Manually create/delete SpotLocks™ by easily tapping a graphical 'lock' image on your phone screen if desired.
• SpotLocks™ take advantage of the advanced muting ability of the V1 Gen2, so all SpotLocks™ are quiet from the onset, with no annoying initial 'blip' of audio.
