Hexgeist
Uutta  Hexgeist is a modern Mac hex editor inspired by the spirit of ResEdit: open a file, look under the hood, and make sense of what’s inside.

Edit bytes in a clean native hex view, inspect decoded values, search and jump quickly, compare changes, and bookmark important ranges so you can find them again. Hexgeist also helps reveal structure without getting in your way, with file format hints, embedded resource discovery, previews, hashes, readable string insights, and a practical side-by-side Lens for understanding the bytes you select.

It is built for people who want a serious binary editor that still feels approachable: developers, tinkerers, reverse engineers, archivists, and anyone who occasionally needs to answer “what is actually in this file?”

Native Swift hex editor with insert and overwrite editing
Fixed 16-byte rows with address gutter and text translation
Bookmarks with notes and color highlights
Find, jump, replace, copy, paste, undo, and redo
Decoded values for hex, integers, floats, text, and endian-aware inspection
