SPLIT VIEW THAT STAYS IN SYNC
The raw editor and visual tree view update in real time as you type. Click a node in the tree to jump straight to its position in the source. Breadcrumbs show you exactly where you are in deeply nested structures.
TREE VIEW EDITING
Edit JSON directly in the tree. Double-click a value to edit inline. Right-click any node to rename a key, delete it, or add children. Great for quickly reshaping a payload without touching the raw text.
SMART EDITING
Auto-pairing brackets, auto-quoting keys, smart indentation, and intelligent completion keep your hands on the keyboard. Increase or decrease indent with ⌘] / ⌘[. Scale the editor font with ⌘+ / ⌘-.
LIVE VALIDATION
Errors are detected in real time with precise line and column reporting. Click an error to jump straight to it. ⌘⇧L forces a full validation pass.
FORMAT, MINIFY & REPAIR
One-click formatting with customizable indent preferences. Minify for transport. And when someone hands you malformed JSON with trailing commas, unquoted keys, or missing commas — just hit Repair (⌘⇧R) and JSON King fixes it.
COMPARE FILES
Side-by-side diff view with visual change highlighting. Paste from the clipboard, compare against any open document, or load two files directly. ⌘⇧D for a full compare, ⌘⌥D to compare the current document against anything.
OPEN FROM URL
Fetch JSON directly from any API endpoint. Paste a URL, hit Fetch (⌘⇧U), and the response loads into a fresh editor — ready to explore.
JSONC SUPPORT
Full support for JSON with Comments, including the .jsonc file type. Comments are preserved when formatting — so configuration files survive round-trips.
