Sure it would be nice to read them yourself and often you do, but there are occasions where you could just sit back and have whatever text is on your screen underlined and read to you.
Well, that's what Mr Speaker! does .
Simply select the screen area to read and choose from a selection of voices, sit back and listen.
...and did we mention it can also read text from most images ? Yep.
The macOS app is designed to be very simple to use with accessibility in mind.
Languages currently supported: English / Italian / French / German / Portuguese / Spanish and using a variety of voices and accents. With this release, you get 22 voices. All included for free.
Choose the correct language for the corresponding text for better quality, native-sounding voice (unless you want to hear how a person with accent X speaks language Y)
Highly recommend you watch the short demo videos to see simplicity & beauty in action.
You will need to give the app access to screen reading. This is done via System Preferences -> Privacy. The app will guide you through this process.
