Comprehensive Device Monitoring
View all your SimpleMDM-managed devices in one clean, sortable table. See at a glance which devices are running current OS versions and which need updates. Track critical security features including FileVault encryption, System Integrity Protection (SIP), and Firewall status for every device in your fleet.
Smart Version Tracking
Simple Security Check shows two version columns for each device:
• Latest Minor: The newest macOS version available for the device's current major OS
• Latest Major: The latest compatible macOS version the hardware can support
This dual-version approach helps you plan both minor security updates and major OS upgrades effectively.
Multiple API Key Support
Manage multiple SimpleMDM accounts or environments effortlessly. Store unlimited API keys with custom aliases like "Production," "Testing," or client names. Switch between accounts instantly using tabs. Each API key has separately cached data for fast access.
Secure Credential Storage
All API keys are stored securely in macOS Keychain with industry-standard encryption. Your SimpleMDM credentials remain protected.
Intelligent Caching
Built-in 24-hour caching system reduces API calls and improves performance. Device data and SOFA feed information are cached locally in SQLite for instant searches and quick app launches. Force refresh when you need real-time data.
Powerful Search and Filtering
Find devices instantly with real-time search across all attributes: device names, serial numbers, OS versions, product models, and more. Filter to show only devices needing updates. Combine search and filters for precise device lists.
Sortable Columns
Sort by OS Version, Latest Minor, Latest Major, and Last Seen to organize your fleet exactly how you need it. Click column headers to sort ascending or descending.
Professional Export Options
Export data in multiple formats for reporting and compliance:
• Full Device CSV - Complete inventory with all security attributes
• Needs Update CSV - Only devices requiring OS updates
• Supported Models CSV - Hardware compatibility information by model
• Complete JSON - Full device data for API integration
All exports include timestamps and open automatically in their default applications.
SOFA Integration
Integrates with the SOFA (Simple Organized Feed for Apple) macOS security feed to provide accurate, up-to-date version information and hardware compatibility data. Know exactly which devices can upgrade to newer macOS versions.
**Background Refresh**
Automatic background refresh keeps your data current without manual intervention. Standard refresh uses cache when available. Force refresh bypasses cache for immediate updates after SimpleMDM changes.
**Tab-Based Interface**
When managing multiple API keys, each appears as a clickable tab at the top of the window. Switch between accounts instantly with cached data loading immediately.
