Descrizione
Family tree software and websites allow you to store and visualise your family history in a great many ways. Conducting further research on the data that you have added to the these systems however can be challenging as most apps only allow for export of a Gedcom file. A Gedcom file though can only really be used with other family tree apps. If you want to conduct additional analysis in other types of apps (e.g. Excel, Numbers or databases etc) then you really want the data in a csv format. That is where Tree to CSV comes in - conveniently and intelligently extracting key information from the Gedcom file as well as deriving a lot of additional information that will be of use to you in your research.
Export types
-------------
- People: individual records with birth/death dates, locations, and relationships (37 columns)
- Families: marriage records with partners and children (23 columns)
- Events: births, deaths, marriages, census, christenings, occupations, and burials (16 columns)
- Locations: hierarchical location data (3 columns)
Note: The quality of information exported is only as good as the information held on the family tree system. e.g. inconsistently formatted locations etc will result in inconsistent values in the export too!
Advanced features

- Root person selection for kinship calculations - only available for family trees that have less than 3000 people
- Kekulé numbers for genealogical data - only available for family trees that have less than 3000 people
- Family line tracking (maternal/paternal) - only available for family trees that have less than 3000 people
- Relationship calculations (parents, spouses, children, siblings)
- Location hierarchy with geographic breakdowns
- Optional marriage record consolidation (to generate a single record per marriage as opposed to one per party)

Gedcom files are produced in many different ways and support has been added for most variants, though there will be exceptions.
