The ShinePhone app is a useful one however it is hard to get anything like live data. It is not intuitive to use and takes practice to get the best from it.
The power output PV current etc. shown in the app is way out of date and you have to go through multiple steps to get fresh data. The app needs either a refresh button or to automatically refresh the data much more regularly, say once a minute.
Also when used on an iPhone it absolutely kills the battery, to the point where the phone gets very hot. Consequently I hardly ever use it on my phone but open it on my Mac instead. While this app has the potential to be great, at the moment is is barely mediocre.
