This alpha version offers a focused first glimpse into the horror experience Don’t Hang Up
Estimated playtime: 10–15 minutes
You play Ben, who enters an abandoned apartment
Your smartphone is your central tool — you can answer or decline calls, write notes, take photos, use the flashlight, and influence the atmosphere through subtle interactions
Included in this alpha
Fully functional smartphone interface
(flashlight, selfies, notes, calls, menu navigation)
First scripted calls with simple decisions
(answer or hang up – no branching yet, but sets the tone)
Trigger-based sound and one jumpscare
(only triggers once, bound to player interaction and location)
Checklist integrated into the phone
(players can manually enter their own objectives)
No tutorial – no objective markers – no HUD
(purposely minimal to observe natural player behavior)
5 explorable rooms
(kitchen, living room, bathroom, children’s room, bedroom)
Integrated performance settings
(scalable graphics including texture quality and shadows)
