Project Manager (Initiation) begins by selecting a character from among predefined Project Managers with varying levels of experience (which also indicates the game's difficulty level). As a newcomer to the company, you'll first need to familiarize yourself with the layout of the rooms and locate key people in the office building with whom you'll collaborate. Your ability to navigate the company will largely determine the success of your time-based tasks.
Next, you'll be tasked with collecting key data necessary to create the first project document, the Project Charter. This task is time-limited, depending on the difficulty level of your chosen character. If your chosen character has limited experience (Easy), you don't have to worry about time, but on Hard, there's no time for bad decisions. Completing this series of tasks will also grant you your first promotion on the PM career path.
After confirming the project launch with your supervisor, you have a moment to select KickOff materials (you must select the correct set of tasks with a limited number of attempts) and complete training sessions. One training session is mandatory, but completing more will earn you additional experience points and knowledge of new tools.
During the game, you have the opportunity to increase your experience, acquire new skills and tools, but you can only win by achieving the final goal: conducting the KickOff meeting.
You must carefully select the participants for this KickOff meeting to ensure that no one is missing the necessary participants, while also omitting any undesirable ones from the invitation.
