Venture on all-new heavy freight services aboard the most iconic and modern locomotive to grace European rails in the 21st Century – the famous and popular Siemens Vectron rolls into Train Sim World®, sporting the azure accents of Railpool for drop-in cargo leasing duty!

Evolved from the previous EuroSprinter family and entering service in the early 2010s, the Siemens’ Vectron family of locomotives were designed as a modular platform to suit the needs of any rail operator in Europe, available in both DC and AC electric, diesel and dual mode options.

Collectively to date, over 2000 Vectrons have been ordered for use by more than 50 different companies across at least 20 countries. This makes the family a well-known and familiar sight for all railfans, even if design specifications differ, everyone knows the Vectron!

Taking the reigns as the most popular type, the Multi-System (MS) Vectron is designed to work across multiple country borders, fitted with different pantographs and electrical equipment for alternative voltages and signalling systems.

Railpool, a leasing group based in Germany, was the first company to order the Vectron, and now has over 100 on order, mainly of the MS variety, to suit the needs of any operator that may need to lease motive power for heavy-duty service. Take charge of this state-of-the-art locomotive on freight services throughout Europe.

On point of bulky goods traffic, hauled in the spacious VTG Eanos wagon, stay on time and navigate the complex rail network of Dresden, weaving between the busy passenger timetable. Without Dresden-Riesa, embark on your own freight trips across Europe with Scenario Planner and Free Roam.
