Kuvaus

Alfa Git is a desktop Git client for the folder where all your repositories live.

Most Git clients assume you work on one repository at a time. A lot of us don't: our work lives in a folder like "Projects" with a dozen repositories — a couple of services, a shared library, an app, something legacy nobody wants to touch. The question is rarely "what changed in this repo?" It's "which of my repositories have work I forgot to commit?"

Alfa Git scans that folder once, finds every repository inside it (worktrees and submodules included) and lists them with their own status. The answer is a glance, not a tour of twenty windows.

EVERY REPOSITORY AT A GLANCE
• A filterable, sortable table with the status of each repository: changes, conflicts, operations in progress.
• Fetch All, Pull All and Push All with bounded concurrency. Push All never force pushes.
• Create a branch or switch branches across every repository at once, with a preview of what will change.
• Open all your repositories in one window of VS Code, Cursor, Zed or Sublime Text, or in terminals.
• Checkpoints: save the branch and commit of every repository under a name and restore them in one go. Each restore saves the current state first, so it can be undone.

HISTORY THAT SHOWS THE STRUCTURE
• A commit graph with lanes and colours, branches, tags, stashes and your uncommitted changes.
• Cherry-pick, revert, merge, rebase, reset, tag and interactive rebase from the context menu.

STAGE, DIFF AND COMMIT
• Merge, staged, unstaged and untracked groups, as a tree or as paths.
• Syntax-highlighted diffs, stage by file, discard, amend and partial stash.

CONFLICTS YOU DECIDE BY LOOKING
• Each side of a conflict is a card showing what it did to the file and which commit it comes from.
• Step through them with "Conflict 2 of 3" and fix them by hand in place.

A REBASE YOU CAN FOLLOW
• While a rebase is stopped, the graph marks what is already replayed, where it stopped and what is still to come.
• Drag-and-drop interactive rebase (squash, fixup, reword, edit, drop) that warns you before rewriting anything already published.

AND THE REST
• A built-in editor (Monaco) for the small fix.
• Local and remote branches, auto-fetch per workspace, file and text search, favourites and workspace tabs.
• Changes made outside the app, from your terminal or VS Code, show up on their own.

TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN
Alfa Git runs the Git command line underneath. It does not reimplement Git. Every command it runs, with its exit code and its real error, is in the Output panel.
