open source, and asks for nothing: no account, no licence, no subscription.
TERMINAL
Open any COM port, send, and read what comes back with timestamps and byte counts.
Standard baud rates and the usual framing options. Data shows as HEX and ASCII side by
side. The send box keeps a history you can walk with the arrow keys, and Return sends.
PASSIVE MONITOR
Open two ports at once and watch both sides of a conversation without touching the link.
Both directions land on a single merged timeline, coloured by channel, with the gap in
milliseconds between frames, so you can see the order things actually happened in.
Sending is disabled in monitor mode by default. A monitoring session cannot inject bytes
into a bus that is running.
RECORDING AND EXPORT
A session can record every raw byte to a local database and export it to TSV or CSV when
you stop. What you get out is what came off the wire.
NINE INTERFACE LANGUAGES
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Spanish,
Italian and Portuguese. The first launch follows your system language; after that the
Language menu switches live, with no restart. Portuguese is European and Traditional
Chinese uses Taiwanese terminology, both deliberately.
ONE PACKAGE, THREE ARCHITECTURES
x86, x64 and ARM64 are all in this package and Windows installs the right one. On a
Windows-on-Arm machine you get the native ARM64 build, not an emulated one.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY
There is no HTTP client, no socket, no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporter and no
update check anywhere in this product. That is not a promise laid on top of code that
could do those things: the code is not there, and the source is public so you can check.
Recordings, settings and logs stay in %APPDATA%\diSerial on your own PC. Nothing is
uploaded, ever.
WORKS WITH ANY SERIAL PORT
diSerial is the companion app for DSD TECH serial hardware, and it is not tied to it. The
terminal works with any COM port Windows can see; the monitor works with any two.
Good for Modbus RTU, PLC, UART and embedded debugging.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
Said here so you know before you install, not after:
- no protocol decoding of any kind
- no request/response pairing and no latency measurement
- no find, filter, highlight or statistics panel
- no custom baud rates beyond the standard list
- no automatic reconnect
- no split view
