Description

Edit CSV is a fast, lightweight editor for CSV and other delimited text files, built specifically for Windows. It opens instantly, handles large files smoothly, and stays out of your way.

Your data opens in a clean, spreadsheet-style table where you can edit cells, add and remove rows and columns, rename columns, and copy and paste to and from Excel and other spreadsheets. Switch to the text view at any time to see and edit the raw file exactly as it is stored.

CSV files come in many flavors, and Edit CSV understands them. It automatically detects the delimiter (comma, semicolon, tab, pipe or space), the quoting style, the text encoding (UTF-8, UTF-16 or legacy Western Windows encoding) and whether the first row is a header. When you save, the file keeps the same format it had when you opened it, so nothing changes unless you want it to. When you do, convert the delimiter, encoding or line endings in a couple of clicks.

Work on several files at once in tabs, undo and redo any change, and reopen recent files with a single click. Excel and OpenDocument spreadsheets open as well, with each sheet in its own tab, so you can turn a workbook into a clean delimited file. Going the other way, export your data to JSON, an Excel workbook, an OpenDocument spreadsheet or a plain text table. Set Edit CSV as the default app for your CSV files and they open straight from File Explorer.

Make it yours in Settings: choose a light or dark theme and an accent color, pick the font and text size, choose the default delimiter for new files, and switch the interface language at any time.

Edit CSV is free, ad free, and has no in app purchases. It's a solid, native tool for anyone who works with CSV files on Windows.
