FIVE REAL FILE FORMATS
Each format has its own hand-built, position-tracked parser - not a generic text search-and-replace. Exporting only rewrites the entries you actually translated; every other byte of the source file, including whitespace, comments and ordering, stays exactly as it was.
TWO CALM COLUMNS
Source sits on the left, your translation on the right, built for hours of use rather than a flashy demo. Checks appear as quiet chips under the field the moment you type - a red chip for a missing or extra placeholder like {0} or %s, an amber chip for a punctuation or length mismatch.
TRANSLATION MEMORY THAT ACTUALLY SUGGESTS
Every approved translation feeds a translation-memory index. The next similar string offers a ranked suggestion with a real match percentage, one click to accept.
A GLOSSARY THAT'S ENFORCED, NOT JUST WRITTEN DOWN
Define a required target term for a source term once, and every translation missing it is flagged automatically wherever that source term appears.
WHEN THE SOURCE FILE CHANGES
Re-import an updated source file and LocaleKit shows exactly which keys are new, changed, or removed - translations for unchanged keys are never touched, and a changed key's existing translation is marked needing review rather than silently kept.
REVIEW, WITH REAL HISTORY
A second person approves or sends a translation back for changes. Every save is kept, never edited or deleted - a genuine, append-only history for every string.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
One database file on your PC. LocaleKit makes no network requests of any kind - no machine translation API, no account, no upload, no analytics, no update check. It behaves identically with the network switched off.

LocaleKit costs $5.00, paid once - never a subscription for the base app. That covers every format, unlimited languages and keys, translation memory, glossary enforcement, automated checks, the review/approval workflow with full history, export with a diff, and source-change detection. One small subscription add-on, Batch & Pseudo ($2.50/month), adds batch operations (apply translation memory above a threshold, copy source into every gap, mark a whole language for re-review) and pseudo-localization (a generated test locale that catches UI overflow and encoding problems before real translation starts).
