PgClient is a clean, fast, and secure desktop client for PostgreSQL. Connect to your databases, browse schemas, run SQL queries, and monitor your servers without memorizing psql commands.

CONNECT IN SECONDS

Paste a connection URL such as postgresql://user:password@host:5432/database and PgClient automatically fills in the connection details. Alternatively, enter the host, port, username, and database manually.

Test connections before saving and receive clear error explanations with suggested fixes for common issues such as incorrect passwords, unreachable hosts, SSL requirements, or missing databases.

Full SSL/TLS support is included, from Prefer to Verify Full, with support for custom CA certificates.

EXPLORE YOUR DATABASE

Browse databases, schemas, tables, views, materialized views, functions, sequences, types, and extensions in a fast, responsive object tree, even when working with thousands of tables.

Switch between databases on the same server without reconnecting. Right-click any table to browse data, view its structure and DDL, count rows, or generate SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements.

A SQL EDITOR THAT HELPS YOU WORK FASTER

Enjoy syntax highlighting, intelligent autocomplete for tables, columns, and databases, one-click SQL formatting, and execution of the statement under the cursor with Ctrl+Enter.

Query results stream into a high-performance data grid capable of handling hundreds of thousands of rows. NULL values are clearly marked, and a built-in JSON viewer makes complex data easy to inspect.

Export query results to CSV, Excel, JSON, or SQL INSERT statements. Query history, saved snippets, and ready-made templates keep common tasks only a few keystrokes away.

UNDERSTAND YOUR QUERIES

Use EXPLAIN and EXPLAIN ANALYZE to visualize query execution plans in a clear, readable format. Quickly identify slow execution steps, inaccurate row estimates, and performance bottlenecks so you can optimize queries with confidence.

SAFE BY DEFAULT

PgClient helps prevent costly mistakes. Confirmation is required before executing DROP, TRUNCATE, ALTER, DELETE without a WHERE clause, or UPDATE without a WHERE clause.

Mark connections as Production to display a prominent red warning banner and require an additional confirmation by typing the database name before making changes.

Read-only mode prevents accidental writes, while transaction controls and a clear status indicator help you track changes that have not yet been committed.

BUILT FOR DEVOPS

The server dashboard provides real-time visibility into active sessions, locks and blocking chains, database and table sizes, dead tuples, index usage, replication status, and server settings.

Automatic refresh keeps information up to date. Cancel queries or terminate sessions directly from the context menu.

PRIVATE AND SECURE

Passwords are stored exclusively in Windows Credential Manager. PgClient has no accounts, no telemetry, and no advertisements. The application connects only to the PostgreSQL servers you configure.

DESIGNED FOR PRODUCTIVITY

Light and dark themes automatically follow your Windows settings. Press Ctrl+K to open the Command Palette and F1 to view all keyboard shortcuts.

Fixed: the app failed to start with "WebView2Loader.dll was not found"
Fixed: query templates and history items no longer cause syntax errors when the editor already contains a query. Templates now use the table selected in the explorer.
