Description

EDITOR opens your text and code files in tabs, in the colours of their language: XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, C#, C/C++, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, SQL, YAML, INI, Markdown… and SCL, STL and QuickScript PLC code.

Close it without saving: nothing is lost. Next time, all your tabs are there, changes included. Ctrl+Shift+T reopens the last tab you closed.

SCL and STL exports from TIA Portal and AVEVA QuickScript scripts show in colour, and IF, CASE, REGION, VAR… blocks fold. These colours are written by Placide.

Ctrl+F searches the file and counts the matches, with match case, whole word and regular expressions. "Replace all" is undone with a single Ctrl+Z. Ctrl+Shift+F searches a whole folder: results come file by file, and a double-click opens the line.

A file changed by another program reloads by itself, at the same place. At the end of a log, you stay at the end while it is written. Up to 1 GB per file.

UTF-8, UTF-16 or ANSI are detected on opening and kept on saving, like CRLF, LF or CR line endings.
