It combines a multi-tab script editor with an integrated live PowerShell terminal, workspace navigation, syntax highlighting, editor diagnostics, metadata-backed IntelliSense, quick help, search and replace, breakpoints, stepping, variables, call stack views, and support log tools.
Unlike a general-purpose code editor, PS7 ScriptDesk is organized around the daily PowerShell workflow: write a script, inspect diagnostics, run a selection or full script in a shared PowerShell session, debug with breakpoints when needed, and keep related scripts available in a workspace tree.
PS7 ScriptDesk also includes tools for packaging PowerShell scripts for use outside the editor.
A saved PowerShell script can be exported as a Windows EXE launcher package. The export wizard guides you through the available packaging options and creates a local .NET-based executable wrapper for the script. This provides a convenient way to start a PowerShell solution like a normal Windows application instead of manually launching the script from a terminal or editor.
PS7 ScriptDesk can also publish supported PowerShell functions as HTTP REST APIs. The Publish as API workflow analyzes the script, identifies publishable functions, allows API endpoints and parameters to be configured, provides local testing tools, and can generate, build, and publish a deployable API project directly from ScriptDesk.
Published APIs use a generated .NET host to safely invoke approved PowerShell functions and parameters without exposing arbitrary PowerShell execution. ScriptDesk can produce self-contained Windows deployments so the finished API can be moved to another supported Windows computer without requiring Visual Studio or a separate .NET SDK installation.
