Popis

QookiT is a modern, lightweight SSH / SFTP desktop client. It implements the full SSH stack in Rust, starts quickly and stays responsive, so you can sign in, manage files and get everyday server work done in a single window.

Hosts and connections
• Save the name, address, port, user name, group and start directory of every host, and edit or remove them at any time
• Password authentication, or public-key authentication by pasting or importing a local private key file
• Passwords and key passphrases are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being written to disk; the master key is stored separately
• The server key fingerprint is recorded on the first connection, and the connection is refused if the key ever changes (protection against man-in-the-middle attacks)
• Probe one host or every host at once, so network problems are found before you connect
• One tab per host — switching tabs never interrupts an established session

Terminal
• A full interactive terminal built on xterm.js that follows the window size
• Open several terminal instances on one connection; scrollback is kept when you switch tabs
• Copy, paste and clear the screen, with shortcuts you can rebind

SFTP file management
• Tree-style browsing that loads on demand, with one-click collapse
• Create folders, rename, delete and copy paths
• Cut, copy and paste files across directories
• Search the current directory with highlighted results, and open it in the terminal
• A single transfer queue with progress, plus archive extraction and file permission editing

Productivity tools
• Remote content search — run grep on the remote host with case-sensitive, regular-expression and whole-word options plus file globs; results are grouped by file and jump on click
• Command palette — keep favourite commands and the execution history, and send them to the active terminal
• Performance monitor — live sampling of CPU, memory, disk, network and load average with trend charts
• Layout templates — save the current panel layout, switch with one click, or import and export it as JSON to share
• Customisable shortcuts — theme switching, new terminal, opening tools and switching connections can all be bound to your own key combinations

Interface
• Frameless window with a custom title bar, and dark / light themes
• Drag and resize panels to arrange the workspace the way you like

Privacy
• No telemetry, usage statistics, advertising or crash reporting
• Nothing is uploaded to the developer; host configuration, credentials and file contents stay on your PC
