Description

Viewr is a free, native Markdown viewer for Windows. It is built for reading, not editing: open a file, read it, close the window.

Most Markdown apps are editors. Viewr gives README files, specifications and project documentation a clean reading view, with no cursor, no edit mode and no save dialogs. It is built on Rust with the system WebView2, so there is no bundled browser and it starts quickly.

Viewr renders the Markdown you already write: GitHub Flavored Markdown with syntax-highlighted code, tables, task lists and footnotes, Mermaid diagrams, KaTeX math, and GitHub-style Note, Tip, Important, Warning and Caution callouts.

Viewr is free and needs no account. Optional anonymous usage analytics can be turned off in Settings; document names, paths and contents are never sent.
