So this app makes the computer a reader of text it is shown via its webcam.
Possible use cases
- Get something read to you, in case of eye problems
- Get something read to you, in case somebody can not read (yet), e.g. children
- Get something read to you, because you are too lazy to read yourself :-)
- Let a chosen computer voice speak something funny
Please note that the quality of the speech depends on the following things:
- consistent text size
- general text quality
- language of selected voice matches language of text
- quality of the used camera (e.g. camera of surface book works great)
- use of punctuation marks (i.e. dots) in text make the speech rhythm more pleasant and human like.
The set of available languages depends on the installed voices on Windows and does not depend on the app.
