A quick look
One click in the menu bar and the whole month is there: coloured dots on every day, the events of the chosen day beside them. No window in the way.
Everything from the keyboard
Move through the calendar with the arrow keys: left and right by a day, up and down by a week. ⌘← and ⌘→ turn the month, "t" jumps back to today, and "+" creates an event. Without taking your hands off the keyboard.
miCal from anywhere
Open miCal any time with ⌥⌘K, whatever app you happen to be in. Quick entry opens with ⌥⌘+.
miCal understands you
Create events in plain language, the way you would say them to someone:
- "Lunch tomorrow at 12"
- "Team meeting every Thursday at 4pm"
- "Coffee with Jane at Starbucks at 9"
As you type, miCal shows you the day the event falls on — and whether it collides with anything. If you would rather fill in fields, switch to the form in the settings.
Change it without leaving
Edit and delete events right in miCal. Repeats get a rule of their own: every second week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the last Friday of the month, twelve times and then stop.
Everything about an event
The detail view shows time, calendar, reminder and repeat. For invitations you see who accepted and who did not. And a location that can be resolved appears on a map.
Find it, don't page through
Search covers titles, locations and notes, a year back and a year ahead. One click on a result takes you to its day.
miCal is flexible
In the menu bar miCal shows what you want to see: just the day, weekday + day, day + month, weekday + day + month, the calendar week or the full date. Add a default duration and reminder for new events, and decide which calendars show up at all.

Current and safe
miCal works with your system's calendar. No extra setup, with everything your Mac already knows: iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange, subscriptions. Your events stay where they are — miCal keeps no copy of its own and needs no account. Only for the map does miCal ask Apple Maps for the coordinates of a place.

- miCal 2.0 for Mac is a complete rebuild — native on Apple Silicon and Intel, and with everything that was missing before.
New:
- create, edit and delete events directly in miCal
- custom repeat rules: every few days, weeks, months or years, on the weekdays you pick, on days of the month or on the second Tuesday — ending never, after a number of times, or on a date
- search across titles, locations and notes, a year back and a year ahead
- run the calendar from the keyboard: arrow keys by day and week, ⌘← and ⌘→ by month, "t" for today, "+" for a new event
- event details now show who was invited and how they answered, and the location on a map
- type an event in plain language and see the day it lands in before you save it — collisions included
