About Lexia PowerUp Literacy:

Grounded in the science of reading, Lexia PowerUp Literacy is designed to accelerate literacy gains for struggling and non-proficient readers in grades 6-12 (year 7 and above in the UK). With 180 unique placement profiles possible, PowerUp addresses the instructional needs of a wide range of students through adaptive learning paths.

This targeted, personalized instruction prepares students to comprehend and engage with complex texts across a range of genres by focusing on:
• Word Study
• Grammar
• Comprehension

Embedded progress monitoring, actionable data, and scripted lessons empower teachers to deliver the exact instruction each student needs. Developed to address the decades-long gap in reading proficiency across the nation, PowerUp delivers rigorous content and skills instruction through an engaging, personalized approach that helps students become proficient readers and confident learners.

    o Screen readers can now read blank lines in Multiple Choice and Typing tasks
    o Completed screen reader support for sensory characteristics (bold, keyword)
    o On-screen transcripts available for all levels in Grammar
    o Volume control added for the following videos: Welcome, Intro, On-Demand Instruction, Strand hook, Grammar introductions
    o Screen reader support improved for Highlight tasks, passage tabs, unit goals, and modals
    o Ordering Task - Changed drop zone location from bar to dot for ease of use
    • Progress Meter now counts media/video tasks and other unscored tasks to ensure students feel that their work is counted.
    • Stability improvements and important bug fixes
