Descrizione
The application was developed for systematic practice of correct pronunciation of sounds and auditory discrimination of auditory similar sounds in words and sentences. In addition, by using this application, children enrich their vocabulary, practice different language skills and memory.
The application consists of interesting pictures, fun tasks and games to motivate children to exercise and work at home. In this way, exercise becomes fun and interesting, and children practice their speech and language skills through play.
The application was developed in collaboration with a master's degree in speech therapy. It contains words and sentences for practicing correct pronunciation for 18 consonants of the Croatian language and auditory discrimination for 24 pairs of auditorily similar sounds. All voices were processed systematically starting with words with the target voice in the initial, medial or final position, followed by short and simple sentences with the target voice in 1-2 words in the same position, and increasingly longer and more complex sentences saturated with the target voice in different positions.
The use of different types of words and the selection of words from very frequent to less well-known ones, as well as gradation in the length and linguistic complexity of the sentences, enables the enrichment of the vocabulary and the improvement of various language skills and memory at the same time. Also, the words and sentences chosen in this way are not only suitable for children but also for adults with certain language and speech difficulties.
The application offers an audio recording of the target word/sentence, an image display, a text display and the ability to record your own pronunciation.
The option of recording the child's pronunciation of the target word and listening to the recording gives direct auditory feedback, which helps him achieve the most correct pronunciation and develop self-control skills.
