GuitarPT
Uutta  Practice your next favorite song at half speed, bar by bar. GuitarPT turns any track into your personal practice room.

Load an MP3, M4A or video file, and GuitarPT automatically detects BPM and chords — entirely on-device, no server, no internet required. Set markers, define loop sections, drop the tempo to 50%, transpose without pitch artifacts. Once the part sits, kick the speed back up. No setup, no fuss.

Need a chord chart? Build a leadsheet in the built-in editor using a gesture-driven circle-of-fifths key picker, a smart chord palette and a clean section layout. Play it back with piano, bass and drums across 8 styles — rock, jazz swing, bossa nova, funk and more. Or snap a photo of a handwritten chart and have it digitised via OCR.

On stage? Performance mode shows large chord displays with live highlighting of the current chord.

Multiple devices? With iCloud sync your songs, markers, leadsheets and setlists are everywhere — iPhone, iPad, all in sync.

    • Video waveforms now support the same scrubbing and marker logic as audio.
    • Switching to another loop section automatically re-zooms the waveform to fit.
    • Cryptic file names from the media library (UUIDs, timestamps) are cleaned up on import.
    • More robust sync architecture using a dedicated CloudKit zone and stable IDs.
    • Sync spinner no longer spins forever: stuck sync runs are cleanly cancelled after at most 5 minutes and recorded in the log.
    • More reliable iCloud Drive downloads with clear timeouts and fast failure detection.
    • Better error reporting in the sync log (Settings → iCloud Sync).

    FIXED
    • Video zoom on Mac: 2-finger pinch on the video is no longer interpreted as waveform scrubbing.
    • Play/Pause button now updates instantly when tapped.
    • Color scheme button reacts immediately to changes.
    • No more unintended jumps when grabbing a marker.
    • Layout overflow fixed for long leadsheet subtitles.
    • German error message removed from the English UI.
    • Songs from the local Photos library are loaded reliably.
    • Various sync stability fixes (ping-pong loops, duplicates, leadsheet assignments).
