KidSafeTV Pal is a companion app that gives parents and trusted carers full control over children's screen time. Set up structured viewing sessions with age-appropriate YouTube content, cast to your TV via Chromecast, and let the app guide your kids from entertainment to calm wind-down videos — so screen time ends without the meltdown.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Sign up at KidSafeTV.com, create your children's profiles, set your content preferences and invite your trusted carers.
2. Then on the companion app select which children are watching — KidSafeTV builds a playlist tailored to their ages and preferences
3. Choose your session length (15 minutes to 2 hours) and energy pattern
4. Preview and swap out any shows before starting
5. Hit play — on the phone, tablet, or cast to your TV
6. Optionally transition to calming content which encourages children to walk away on their own

KEY FEATURES

- Structured sessions: Set a time limit and the app handles the rest. No more "just one more episode" battles.
- Smart energy patterns: Choose from Calm Down, Peak & Calm, Random, or Steady modes to control how stimulating the content is throughout the session.
- Wind-down mode (optional): Sessions automatically transition to calming, low-stimulation videos before ending, helping kids shift gears peacefully.
- Chromecast support: Cast viewing sessions to any Chromecast-enabled TV. The session keeps running even if the app is closed.
- Multi-child sessions: Select multiple children and the app finds content appropriate for everyone, with optional Young Child Protection.
- Viewing profiles: Favourite shows, hide content you don't want, and set evening protection rules — all managed from kidsafetv.com.
- Session history: Track how much each child has watched today with a clear daily breakdown on the dashboard.
- Caregiver access: Caregivers can manage sessions for families they're connected to. Playlists populate exclusively with content parents have set as their preferences for each child or group.
- Session feedback: Rate how the session went and how your child reacted — helping you fine-tune future sessions.
- Session persistence: If the app is closed or your phone restarts mid-session, it picks up right where you left off.

EVENING PROTECTION

Set a time after which only low-stimulation content is allowed. The app checks the clock and automatically enforces calmer viewing in the evening hours.

BUILT FOR PARENTS

KidSafeTV doesn't serve ads, doesn't let kids browse freely, and doesn't autoplay endlessly. Every session has a start, a wind-down, and an end. Parents stay in control.
