Where do I begin with Hyakunin Isshu (One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each)?

This app is perfect for those wondering!

With furigana (phonetic readings), it's also recommended for children.

You can learn at your own pace, one poem at a time, one character at a time.

A unique "reveal" method where the poem appears one character at a time.

Start with the key word. From there, gradually move on.

Includes a newly written modern Japanese translation and explanation, so you'll learn the meaning along with the poem.

◆ Challenge yourself after you've memorized

A reaction test in the style of competitive karuta (a Japanese card game).

Tap when you think "That's it!" during the reading.

Test your skills by seeing how many characters it takes to grab the card from the key word.

You can also choose the speed from "slow." Let's learn while having fun!

◆ An accessible reference library anytime

If you think, "What was that poem again?", search instantly.

You can find it by simply entering the author's name or part of the poem.

It also includes images of the poets and places associated with them, making it enjoyable as reading material as well.

◆ Choose the display that suits you
There are six display settings, including kanji + furigana, modern kana, and old kana.
With furigana, you don't need to be able to read kanji.
