EarMemo is a local-first audio player for iPhone and iPad, built for long-form audio you already own: audiobooks, lectures, courses, downloaded podcasts, and MP3 or M4B files.

Listen and take notes at the same time. Bookmarks and notes are anchored to exact timestamps — tap one to jump straight back to that moment. Export your notes as plain Markdown. No account or cloud required. Your audio and notes stay on your device.

Listen at your own pace. Mark the moments worth keeping. Even if you remove the original audio later, your notes can remain — because what you took away matters more than the file.

The timestamped notes are absolutely brilliant for my lectures and audiobooks. Being able to jump straight back to a specific point with just one tap saves so much time. It is such a helpful addition that I did not even know I needed until I started using EarMemo. Highly recommend it.
