This is my app so I’m a little bias but as someone from the ADHD community that teaches ADHD and neurodivergent youth, I created screen beings to be an accessibility tool instead of an answering mechanism.

Click your companion on any reading and it points you to the main idea. Highlight a confusing sentence and it makes the wording lighter. Stuck on homework? It teaches the method — it never just hands over answers, and on quizzes and tests it steps back entirely.
Built for students, including students with ADHD and reading differences:
• EVERYTHING RUNS ON YOUR COMPUTER. No account, no sign-in, no cloud. Screen Beings works with the wifi off. Nothing a student reads, says, or types is ever transmitted anywhere. • VOICE, LOCALLY. Say its name to wake it; dictate into any text box. All speech processing happens on the device. • READ-ALOUD AND ACCESSIBILITY. Read-aloud with word-by-word highlighting, a reading strip, lens and contrast tools — the companion is the accommodation. • A NOTEBOOK THAT BELONGS TO THE STUDENT. Concepts practiced and how learning is going, stored in local files on the device. Feed your companion, watch it react — it's a being, not a toolbar. • TEACHER-FRIENDLY. Works standalone out of the box. Schools can optionally run a classroom "Lighthouse" on their own local network — no vendor servers, ever.
