Description
New Consoles can't type in a server address. CouchPortal fixes that.
Pick a Minecraft Bedrock server on your phone. Open Minecraft on your PlayStation or Xbox, go to Friends, and the server is there under LAN Games. Select it and you're in. The console connects straight to the server; your phone is not a relay and is out of the loop the moment you join.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
• It checks the server before you watch anything. If the address is wrong or the server is down, you find out in a second, not after an ad.
• It tells you why. Wrong port, server offline, not on Wi‑Fi, a VPN in the way: each gets a plain explanation and what to do about it.
• It keeps the screen awake while it waits, so the console keeps seeing you.
• Nothing to sign up for. No account, no analytics.
• Unlimited servers, and a home-screen shortcut for each one.
FREE, WITH ONE SHORT AD BREAK
The free version shows one short video ad break before each connection. That's it: no ads while you play, no ads on the console. One payment removes ads for good. No subscription.
WHICH CONSOLES
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4: yes.
Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One: yes.
Nintendo Switch: no. The Switch has no LAN Games list at all, so this method cannot reach it. We say so up front because we'd rather you knew before downloading.
HOW IT WORKS
Your console is always looking for games on your home Wi‑Fi. CouchPortal answers that call from your phone, completes the handshake, and hands the console off to the real server. It uses Minecraft's own local-network feature and its own server-transfer mechanism. It does not modify the game.
WHAT YOU NEED
Your phone and your console on the same Wi‑Fi network, and a server address from your host. If your server uses Geyser, use the Bedrock port, not the Java one; the app will tell you if you mix them up.
SUPPORT
Help and a contact form are at couchportal.com/support. If something goes wrong, the app can send a problem report with one tap: what server you chose, whether it answered, and what the app did. No name, no email, nothing that identifies you.
