Die GSAapp basiert auf dem Datenbestand des ChemInfo-Systems, welches durch ein Bund-Länder-Kooperationsprojekt betrieben und gepflegt wird. Den an der Kooperation beteiligten Ländern sowie deren BOS-Verbänden ist eine kostenfreie und vollumfängliche Nutzung möglich.
In der GSAapp können mittels unterschiedlicher Profile für Feuerwehr, Fachberater, Rettungsdienst und THW intuitiv Informationen von etwa 40 000 Stoffen überprüft werden.
Die GSAapp bekommen Sie mit einem Demodatenbestand. Damit werden die Funktionen der GSAapp verdeutlicht. Wenn Sie berechtigter Nutzer von ChemInfo sind, können Sie kostenlos den kompletten Datenbestand der Gefahrstoffschnellauskunft mit den Registierungsdaten herunterladen.
Die GSAapp ist unterteilt in eine Stoff- und Transportsuche. Mit der Transportsuche kann mittels Eingabe von Suchparametern in eine visualisierte Warntafel nach rechtlichen Regelungen und Gefahren von Transportgütern im Allgemeinen gesucht werden.
Über die Textsuche können chemische Eigenschaften zu einzelnen Stoffen recherchiert werden. Zur Eingabe und Suche dienen Stoffnamen, CAS-Nummern oder UN-Nummern. Je nach eingestelltem Profil werden die gefundenen Informationen aufbereitet in unterschiedlichen Tabs angezeigt.
Enthaltene Informationen sind u.a. allgemeine Stoffeigenschaften, Gefahren und Maßnahmen sowie Schutz- und Erste-Hilfe-Hinweise.
