- On-device detection: All content analysis runs locally on your device. No browsing history, screen content, or personal activity is sent to the cloud.
- Real-time intervention: When explicit or inappropriate content appears, On Guard triggers immediate responses designed to interrupt the moment and redirect attention.
- Accountability: Users may optionally add trusted accountability allies to reinforce discipline. Allies are only contacted when the user enables this feature.
- Privacy by design: No tracking. No behavioral profiling. On Guard does not sell or share user data.

AUTOMATED SMS ACCOUNTABILITY ALERTS
On Guard uses Device Automation to send supportive SMS alerts to your trusted accountability partners (Allies).
HOW SMS AUTOMATION WORKS
- You add trusted Allies (friends, family, mentors) with their phone numbers
- Allies must approve via email before receiving any alerts
- When harmful content is detected and you do not respond to warnings, On Guard automatically sends a pre-formatted supportive SMS to your Allies
- You choose from 3 pre-written message templates or create your own custom message
- Your Allies receive the alert and can reach out to support you
SMS PERMISSION USAGE
- SMS is only sent to contacts you have voluntarily added
- Messages are pre-formatted supportive alerts, never spam or marketing
- You must consent via in-app dialog before SMS is enabled
- You can configure which message template is sent
- You can disable SMS alerts at any time in Settings
This automated accountability system creates real-world support from people who care about you.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
On Guard requires Android Accessibility Service to function. This permission allows the app to:
- Read on-screen text to detect harmful content
- Capture screenshots to analyze images for inappropriate material
- Identify which app you are currently using
HOW YOUR DATA IS PROTECTED
- All content analysis happens entirely on your device
- No screen content, screenshots, or personal data is ever uploaded to servers
- No data is shared with third parties
- The service is only used for content detection to help you stay accountable
