Entende-se como características psicofisiológicas todo o conhecimento referente ao funcionamento do ser humano. Algumas características psicofisiológicas do ser humano (MANUAL da NR 17, 2002):
• Prefere escolher livremente sua postura, dependendo das exigências da tarefa e do estado de seu meio interno;
• Prefere utilizar alternadamente toda a musculatura corporal e não apenas determinados segmentos corporais;
• Tem capacidades sensitivas e motoras que funcionam dentro de certos limites, que variam de um indivíduo a outro e ao longo do tempo para um mesmo indivíduo;
Sendo assim, este aplicativo tem como objetivo prover uma ferramenta de auxílio nas investigações ergonômicas de postos de trabalho nos quais há relatos sobrecargas no membros superiores. Este aplicativo está baseado no método RULA, desenvolvido por McAtamney, L. and Corlett, E.N. (1993) RULA: A survey method for the investigation of work-related upper limb disorders.
