Beskrivning
Diese Technologien kommen entlang der Prozesskette von Fachdiszipl Design und Konstruktion zur Herstellung von unterschiedlichen Produkten zum Einsatz. Im Vordergrund stehen die Werkstoffe (Metall, Kunststoff, Keramik, Verbundwerkstoffe) und deren Bearbeitung. Themen sind die Herstellung, Verarbeitung und Eigenschaften von Grundmaterialien sowie die Herstellung und Eigenschaften der Oberflächen im Hinblick auf dekorative und funktionelle Herausforderungen.
Neben den Substraten wird die Beschichtung, beispielsweise mit Metallen und anorganischen Schichtwerkstoffen, betrachtet.
Geboten werden technisch-wissenschaftliche Aufsätze zu Fachthemen sowie Berichte über Technologien im Einsatz, über Unternehmen und Veranstaltungen. Wiederkehrende Rubriken enthalten technische Kurzbeiträge, Informationen aus Unternehmen, Verbänden, Instituten und Ausbildungseinrichtungen, Neues aus der Gesetzgebung (REACh) oder Normung im Fachgebiet.
Die technisch-wissenschaftlichen Informationen in WOMag kommen vor allem in folgenden Branchen zum Einsatz: Automobilbau, Maschinenbau, Luft- und Raumfahrt, Medizintechnik, Lebensmitteltechnik, Sanitär, Werkzeugbau, Anlagenbau, Energietechnik, Chemietechnik, Verbindungstechnik, Messtechnik, Beschläge, Dekoration.
Die Herausgeber werden bei der Zusammenstellung bzw. Betrachtung von Informationen von einem Kreis aus etwa 20 Fachleuten der Werkstoffbearbeitung und -verarbeitung sowie der Oberflächentechnik beraten und unterstützt.
