Beskrivning

Edit Code opens every kind of text file in one window, and gives each format the view and tools that suit it.

JSON sits beside a live structure tree that follows your typing. Format it with indentation, minify it to a single line, or validate it and see exactly where it goes wrong.

YAML gets the same live tree, with support for files that hold several documents. Comment or uncomment a block of lines in one click, copy the whole document as JSON, and indent with spaces as YAML requires.

Markdown shows a rendered preview next to the source as you write. The toolbar adds bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, headings, lists, quotes, inline code, links and images to whatever is selected.

CSV opens as a spreadsheet-style table above its text, and both stay in step. Insert and delete rows and columns, rename columns, and paste straight from a spreadsheet. The delimiter, quoting, encoding and line endings are detected when a file opens and kept when it's saved, and you can change or convert any of them. Excel and OpenDocument spreadsheets open with one tab per sheet, and any table can be exported to JSON, Excel, OpenDocument or an aligned text table.

Everything else, from C#, Python and PowerShell to XML, HTML, CSS and SQL, opens with syntax highlighting for its language. Pick a different file type at any time and the tab switches its tools and view on the spot.

Open a whole folder to browse its files in a side panel that follows changes on disk, or list your open documents instead. Your tabs, including unsaved text, come back exactly as you left them the next time you start the app. Light and dark themes, a choice of accent colors, editor fonts and sizes, and a choice of interface languages are all in Settings.
