/Story/ Upholding justice, becoming a hero out of interest!
One-Punch Man is set on a planet similar to Earth, but with superpowers and various strange creatures. Various "monsters" with supernatural powers either possess astonishing strength or summon phantoms to attack. They keep appearing and causing disasters. To combat them, the "Hero Association," founded by a wealthy man, begins recruiting talented individuals from around the world to become professional heroes and fight against monsters.
The protagonist, Saitama, is one such hero. At the age of 22, defeating the monster "Crab Claw Landy" rekindled his childhood dream of becoming a hero. From then on, he diligently performed 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and ran 10 kilometers every day, gaining invincible strength. However, because his abilities were too great, he lost the exhilarating feeling he had when defeating monsters, only becoming excited when facing challenging opponents. In a series of events, Saitama encounters various heroes, villains, and monsters, takes the cyborg Genos as his apprentice, and joins the Hero Association to gain official recognition. He begins a life fighting various monsters and disasters alongside many other heroes, but more often than not, he performs his heroic duties unseen by others.
