คำอธิบาย

SUPPORT+ 2.0
"SUPPORT+” is an initiative of the Department of Clinical Oncology, LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong. “SUPPORT+” aims to support advanced cancer patients and their families in the local community – in the form of a mobile app.

“+” can literally mean ‘families’, ‘positivity’, and ‘extra’ in Chinese. “SUPPORT+” aims to support cancer patients and their families by
- helping them live positively even if their illness is incurable,
- positively influencing their course of illness.
- letting them have extra resources at their disposal.

For better home care, “SUPPORT+” equips patients and carers with up-to-date educational materials on cancer management, palliative care and end-of-life support. Registered users can also record their symptoms and communicate with their healthcare professionals through this app.

This mobile also provides educational materials for medical and nursing students to learn about cancer care and palliative medicine. We wish our future healthcare professionals can provide good quality care to our cancer patients.

Life as a cancer patient can be a difficult journey. Therefore, we are here, to SUPPORT you in a POSITIVE way.
