Press Record and sing over the backing track. Your voice is captured on its own and played back over the song, lyrics and all, so you can hear a take the moment you finish.

• Recordings of This Song lists every take: play it, rename it, or move your voice earlier or later if it drifted
• Export a take as an audio file, dry or with small room, medium room, large hall or cathedral reverb
• Auto-Record Every Song keeps every performance without pressing a thing
• A short tip before your first take explains how to keep the speakers out of the mic
• A recording badge shows in fullscreen, so you always know when you are being recorded

Recordings stay on your Mac, and removing a song removes its takes.

LYRIC FILES READ CORRECTLY

Lyric files do not say which text encoding they use, and Karaoke used to guess in a fixed order. It now reads each file every plausible way and keeps the one that reads like text. Japanese and Korean files that opened as garbled Chinese now display correctly, as do accented lyrics in Spanish, French and other Western languages, and files that began with an invisible marker no longer lose their first line.
