Opis

Manual for the USA 2nd Ed.
We followed up the popular Manual for the United States of America app with a Second Edition, redesigned for the next generation of the iPad. Along with the documents and presidential/state facts found in the original version, we have added more visual and timely information presented with higher resolution images. New features include news headlines, contact information for government officials, an interactive U.S. map, and an Election Center. We encourage you to explore different areas of the app to find special sections about the flag, the founding fathers, and important government buildings.

BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT:
Find facts and bios of Presidents, contact information for Senators and Representatives, bios of current Supreme Court Justices, information about current cabinet positions, landmark Supreme Court cases, and Rules of the U.S. Senate/House of Representatives/Supreme Court.

ELECTION CENTER:
Track election results for Presidential, Congressional, and Gubernatorial races. Search congressional elections by district along with a chart showing total seats per party. Get more info about Presidential candidates and count electoral votes by state on our election map.

DOCUMENTS:
Read the following documents with notes: Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Articles of Confederation, Federalist Papers, Anti-Federalist Papers, Washington's Farewell Address, Emancipation Proclamation, Gettysburg Address, Lincoln's 2nd Inaugural Address, How Our Laws Are Made, Civil Rights Act, and more.

Special sections about the Constitution and Declaration of Independence include images of the original documents, paintings depicting their signing, and biographies of the original signers.

INFLUENTIAL WRITING:
Explore ideologies that influenced the nation's founding with writing from Thomas Paine, Adam Smith, David Hume, and John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams. A special section highlights Patrick Henry and his passionate plea for independence from Great Britain.

THE FLAG:
View a diagram, historical designs, and handling instructions. This section includes U.S. Code about the flag and an informational pamphlet.
